Psychologist Fees and Insurance

Fees

Dr. Firer follows the fee schedule recommended by the Psychological Association of British Columbia (BCPA), which is $235 per session. A short assessment geared towards identifying a very specific issue such as an intellectual disability costs approximately $2000 and includes a report and a feedback session.

The cost for a psychoeducational assessment is $3290.

Fees are collected at the beginning of each hourly session.

Insurance

Medical Service Plan does not cover psychological services.

Private insurance providers such as Pacific Blue Cross, may cover some of the cost of a private psychoeducational assessment or psychological treatment.  Consider checking with your insurance provider to see if you have coverage.
